About The Rajrishi Bhartrihari Matsya University
Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Law University (ALU), located in Jaipur, Rajasthan, is a state university established by the Government of Rajasthan through Act No. 6 of 2019, dated February 26, 2019. Named in honor of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Indian Constitution, the university is dedicated to advancing legal education and research across the state. Functioning as both a residential and affiliating institution, ALU holds jurisdiction over the entire state of Rajasthan, with the mandate to affiliate all law colleges within its ambit. The university is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956, and its programs are approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI), ensuring adherence to national standards in legal education.
