What is CSIR–UGC JRF?

The CSIR–UGC NET (Council of Scientific & Industrial Research – University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test) is a national-level exam conducted to:

  • Determine eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), and/or

  • Eligibility for Lectureship (LS) in Indian universities and colleges.

It focuses only on Science and Technology subjects, unlike UGC NET, which covers humanities and other streams.
