The SERB POWER Fellowship is a flagship initiative by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Government of India, created specifically to empower women researchers in STEM. It supports exceptional women scientists at mid-career or senior levels who have made significant contributions in science and engineering and who aim to lead independent, high-impact research projects.
The fellowship provides financial support, research grants, and visibility to help women researchers build strong research groups, publish high-quality work, and contribute to India’s scientific ecosystem. It also promotes gender equity in science leadership roles.
There is no exam for this fellowship. Evaluation is based on research record and the submitted proposal.
