What is the UPSC IFoS Exam?

UPSC IFoS (Indian Forest Service) is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for recruitment into the Forest Department of India.
It is one of the All India Services, like IAS and IPS.

Main role:
To manage, conserve, and protect India’s forest resources and wildlife.
Officers work in both forest administration and environmental management roles at the central and state levels.

A1: The Indian Forest Service (IFoS) exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) to recruit officers for managing India’s forests, wildlife, and environment at the central and state levels.
