Competitive Exam Details

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) conducts the Bihar Civil Services Examination to recruit officers for administrative, police, revenue, and other state-level posts in the Government of Bihar.

It is one of the most prestigious state-level civil service exams, similar in pattern to the UPSC Civil Services Exam but focused on Bihar’s governance and regional topics.

BPSC Exam Stages

The BPSC Combined Competitive Examination (BPSC CCE) is conducted in three stages:

1. Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)

  • Mode: Offline (OMR-based)

  • Type: Qualifying (for screening only)

  • Subjects: General Studies (GS)

  • Total Marks: 150 marks

  • Duration: 2 hours

  • Negative Marking: No negative marking
